Egypt to Host the 2027 Darts World Cup
Egypt has taken a major step towards hosting the 2027 Darts World Cup, following the official signing of the tournament’s hosting agreement.
The signing ceremony was attended by Gohar Nabil, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, and Major General Khaled Fouda, Presidential Adviser for Local Development and chairman of the tournament’s Supreme Organising Committee. The agreement reflects growing international confidence in Egypt’s ability to stage major global sporting events. Members of the Egyptian Darts Federation’s board also attended the ceremony, including Major General Gamal Youssef, Gouda Aboul Nour and Engineer Zakaria Essam. They were joined by Dr Mohamed El-Kordy, head of the Sports Sector at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Dr Ahmed Mokhtar, head of the Central Administration for Sports Performance.
A New Milestone for Egyptian Sport
Minister Gohar Nabil described the 2027 Darts World Cup as another important addition to Egypt’s record of successfully organising international sporting competitions. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting national sports federations and pursuing opportunities to host major championships, helping strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional and international sporting centre. The event also forms part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ broader strategy to increase the number of international competitions hosted in Egypt. According to the Ministry, attracting major events can support both the sports and tourism sectors while showcasing the country’s modern facilities, infrastructure and organisational capabilities.

The signing of the hosting agreement marks an important stage in preparations for 2027 and represents a significant achievement for the Egyptian darts community.
